Morning has risen!

"Morning has risen, like the first morning!" And it is a good morning! The sun just came up and is shining brightly through my window. I am about to go out and hang some clothes on the line. I love hanging out clothes. It's quiet out in our backyard very early in the morning. I can listen to the birds singing and the water running over the rocks in our little pond. It will be a fish pond some day soon, but there seems to be a leak that keeps cropping up. My husband keeps repairing it bout every few days, but it is looking better and better. He is enjoying landscaping our back yard with beautiful flowers. I love the colors out there!

Mothers Day was very nice here. My mom came over and had lunch with us. My daughter cooked a ham which was probably one of the best hams we have ever had! Last night I made a casserole out of the left over ham and potatoes. It was really very good, and simple too. Just a little bit of work peeling potatoes and chopping onions. I hate chopping onions! -- But this is not what I meant to be talking about!

After lunch on Sunday we went to the  State Park to show my mom where the wedding would be taking place this weekend. And then to the pavilion where the reception would be. It's going to be great! I am trying not to fret over details!

So-- my to do list today is to go over this AM and get a cholesterol test (yuk!), do half a day school with my son J, then go hiking somewhere. My knee isn't great yet, so it will have to be light hiking, but I want to get out and enjoy the day with J today. Later there is chimes practice at church.

You all have a great day too!

  2. It's nice to be closer to family, but I miss our mountains up north. When we retire we are going back.... but that's not for another 8 - 10 years!!
