Trip North

Not yesterday, but the weekend before, we traveled North to Maine to meet our new grandson and visit with our son and daughter-in-law. We only had a two day visit, but it was wonderful!

Our grandson E at 6 weeks old!
Our son J went with us too. At the age of 13 he wasn't too excited about his 6 week old nephew! I told him just to give him some time. He will be more fun when he is up and crawling or walking. Give him a few months! Grand mom and Grand pop think he is precious however!

While we were in Maine- which is a place I love to be-- we did get to do a few things that were on our agenda. One of the things we wanted to do was to go to Camden Maine to see the schooners and go to The Smiling Cow. A gifty shop with great fudge and a back porch with water running under it down to a water fall.

We went to Rockport to where Andre the seal used to live. My hubby and I saw him in person bout 30 years ago! My how time does fly!! He was a trained seal that belonged to John Wannamaker of the Wannamaker stores fame. He performed and summered at Rockport Harbor. Andre performed not John!! Ha Ha!

Statue of Andre the Seal.
So here are some more photos of our visit to Maine. ......

  1. I really like that area of Maine. It looks like you made the most of a quick trip. Probably many more are on the agenda. Something about a grand child...
