Son Number Two

My son number two, second from the top in order of age, Nick-- is a glassblower. He has always been the one who was impulsive and as a child, acted before he thought, which resulted in many, many cases of mischief!! But he found a channel for all that now! He has developed into a fine artist, not only in the medium of glass, but also on canvas, paper and with other forms of sculpture.

He calls this flameworking.
He also makes goblets and other glass items.
Jewelry too.

I haven't a clue how he does it.
Well-- I have seen him light up a torch and start to blow the glass---
But the art that results.........
that's a gift from God that he has developed.
He keeps on refining his craft. His gift.

I have always been so glad that my children have found
outlets in their lives for their emotions----
in art, in music, through the written word, in sports.

Some of them are still searching for the outlet that works best.
But they will discover it, if they stay faithful to the quest.
