Yep. We are packing. Packing for the big move south to South Jersey! We have been in NE Pa. for almost 10 years. My little kids have turned into big kids now! We are minus 3 of the pets we moved here with and have 3 new ones (2 dogs and a cat.) When we move our third son, who is 23 and living in the garage bedroom, will be staying up here in the vicinity to finish up school. We will be taking the two youngest down with us. Thus.... we have boxes. The stacks of boxes are growing!
What to pack and what to get rid of? That is always the question of the day. And what won't we need in the next 2 months? So far I have only packed two things that I later needed. One was some school books that I had to return. Luckily, when I couldn't find them, (and I searched everywhere a dozen times over) I decided that I must have packed them by mistake, I chose the right box to check first, and there they were! I was very happy bout that!
Now my husband found a huge box- big enough to fit one of the dogs- or one kid! We are joking about putting it on top of the car....... with kid or dog inside!! Maybe we could switch them at the rest stop! (Just kidding!)
So -- I guess it's time to finish this up for now and pack some more boxes. Ei yi yi! I haven't even hit the attic yet! Maybe this afternoon!

ReplyDeleteI hate packing!!! Have you gotten alot packed already? Do you move in June or July? -I keep forgetting which summer month is your big move. I am really excited about your move, because then I will get to see you more often!!!

The official moving date is July 1st. But I am hoping to be able to go a day or two earlier. I plan to go a week ahead to take Zoey cat to Mom's, then we don't have to travel with both a dog and a cat in the same car!
