Making Memories!

A campfire would be nice tonight- or right now! It is very chilly in the house right now at 7am! 

I have so much to do today- and every day- and it doesn't seem to get all done. I am full of energy in the am and fizzle out in the afternoon. Right now as I write this, sipping a hot cup of coffee, my dog Katie is nudging me with her nose - she wants to go out and check on the squirrel situation! She always dashes to an oak tree outside - if she could she would quickly bound right up and chase those squirrels out of her tree!

Besides chores, I am feeling like I need to reconnect with some girlfriends that I haven't spent very much time with lately. I really have been pretty much occupied with packing for the upcoming move, and running to baseball practices and games with our youngest son. -- This campfire was so nice. It was the vigil fire the night before Easter. We had a small group and sang, chatted, and roasted peeps over the fire! It was great, except it was a disaster for our youngest son's asthma. He ended up in the ER the next night after an asthma attack!

That was a fun night. A memory making night! That's what we used to say when the kids were little! "Making memories!" -- That's a box of peeps in my son's hand right there! The only problem with peeps is that the sugar gets a little hard on the outside of it. We also had marshmallows!

I think the smoke was in my eyes in photo below. We really did have a great time that night. I would love to do it again tonight. But it's a Saturday. My husband will be working on his sermon, and I have to think twice about the ER visit too. Next time will have to be prepared with a pre-dose of asthma meds, and keep the young one out of the smoke!!
