Our church had an indoor yard sale last weekend. I always find it interesting to see the odd assortments of things one finds at yard sales.
This was an extremely large sale! It was in the basement of our church. Every table was full! Lots and lots of baby clothes and other clothes, and mugs! So many mugs!
Just lots and lots of stuff. Stuff--- our word to cover lots of un-namable things all together!
And outside in town, it was Harvest Day. There were lots of things happening, one of which was the antique car show! We really enjoyed walking down the street checking out the cars! Son J really got a kick out of this, telling me which ones he was going to have some day.
And which car would he NOT have!
The newer next to the older.
J would never want one of the antique cars! They are just plain old and dumb according to him. He would rather have one of the corvettes or the likes.
Experiment of the day: Which candy will make your tongue turn black?
Love all the yard sale stuff! What are you going to do with all the remaining "stuff" that didn't sell? Are there any salt and pepper shakers? I don't know how, but we are always needing salt and pepper shakers!!!!Sorry I missed the car show - Randy would have loved that!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Lil- Hi Lynn! You know, I didn't notice any salt and pepper shakers! How bout that! - Two different guys came and split the leftover stuff for their own yardsales. Everything was gone in about an hour after closing. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteVery cute yard sale stuff! I don't think The Story of US is particularly related to the Hakim books, but it is a story of America and very well done. The kids and I are enjoying it this year. It is of course chronological and long. We just finished disc one, there are three disks. I like how the discs are broken into episodes. We have a few of the Hakim books, they are good. Right now for read aloud for world history we are reading Story of the World book 3 and making century book pages, it's good. This is the series by Susan Wise Bauer. I just love the salt and pepper shakers too cute!
