We stay at what used to be called Willow Valley Resort in Lancaster. Now it has split up and 1/2 is run by Double Tree, and the other half is called Willow Tree. Still a wonderful place with the Amish country side all around. Lancaster itself is a smallish city. More of a town than a city though. When it was built, the person who founded it had a brick foundary-- if that's what you call it. The buildings had to be made of red brick. So most of the town of Lancaster is red brick.
We took our son James on retreat too. This is what he enjoyed the most!
They have some neat paintings on the walls of the pool room.

So James spent a lot of his time here with some other PKs. (Pastor's Kids)
My husband attended all the sessions with the Bishop and heard some good speakers.
I attended some of that too, but I got to go to the spouses workshops. We had a great speaker too.
She really encouraged us spouses to get together as much as possible and be supportive to each other.
So today I am going to a get together our district superintendent's wife is having for pastors spouse.
She lives less than a mile away but I think I will drive. My knee has been bothering me lately.
Have a great day everyone!
This is the Palm Court where we had most of our meals!
