Bed time musings.....

I am missing my dear D tonight. He is still in rehab with a recovering body from knee replacement. I heard him say tonight that he didn't realize just how long and involved the process actually would be. It's a painful process, but in the long run it will be worth it. -- He is coming home on Tuesday. I can't wait till he does. I do miss him. --

I am also missing my little grandson E. He lives so far away. All the way up in Maine. It seems like I have been playing phone tag with his daddy N, our second son, all week so I haven't been able to talk to him or skype. I like the skype. It is amazing to me that technology allows us to communicate that way over hundreds and thousands of miles! ~ My daughter in law is Japanese and speaks very good English, but she doesn't think she does and won't speak on the phone for fear we won't understand her!

Here is E in the snow last month with his dad!

I am so looking forward to Easter when they come down. We are definitely doing his first Easter Egg hunt! It's going to be so much fun! He really is a little cutie. He is 18 months old now!

He loves anything with wheels! He calls them all " a tractor!" His grandmom in Japan gave him a beautiful board book (baby book) with so many cool trains in it! He loves those "tractors!"

Isn't this the neatest picture? It's at a mall in Japan. There is a pool with a see through bottom right over the downstairs of the mall. You stand under it and it looks like you are underwater! I have never seen such a thing, but somebody has got to introduce it to the US! It is really really neat!

Mama, E and Papa at our favorite seafood restaurant in Maine.

So anyway, tomorrow is another day with MANY things I have to do. So I'd better get to bed and put these musings away for.... another day. ~~~ Good night all!

  1. With those bedtime musings, I am sure you must have had sweet dreams.
My next door neighbor is recovering from knee surgery--lots of trips to physical therapy after the hospital stay. Getting older can be a full time job so I am glad there are angels to watch over us.
