Another Spring day in May

We had a very difficult funeral to attend on Tuesday. My husband and our old pastor conducted the service and did a good job. But whole death was difficult. It was for a 45 year old man - husband and father of an 8 year old little boy. Two weeks ago his wife couldn't wake him from sleeping in the morning, and ended up being taken to the hospital, put in ICU, than after a week and after being put on oxygen, the sent him up to a brain center in North Jersey. That's where he finally died. They still don't know why. It was very sad.

I am a strong believer in Heaven. I know he was a Christian and that there is definitely a heaven and that he is there, but its still a mystery about the cause of death. I feel sorry for his wife of course, but mostly for his little boy. I know him well. He is in my Sunday School class. My own father died when I was 4 and I know what it's like growing up with out a daddy. This little boy has some great grandparents who will step in and be there for him. I had wonderful grandparents too. That meant the world to me and will mean it to this liltle boy too. (M)

He was so strong at the funeral. He said on Sunday when were talking about what you could do to help your mom do on mother's day, that he could go to the funeral and help his mom there. I am very proud of him.

So.. I said I would share a few  more Spring pictures so here they are:

My little Mr. Finch with the Starlings I dislike so much! They usually chase everyone else away!

Our bunny- one of a few- they just chewed our peas down to next to nothing!

I have been enjoying the purples this year! The Hyacinths.

I think this is a Pear tree. It was beautiful.

A few more notes:
I am now smelling Chicken Soup that my husband is making for our church's Thursday Soup ministry. Someone takes turn making it and it is delivered to Shut Inns.
Today is my brother in law's birthday. Happy Birthday Randy!

So... go forth and have a wonderful Spring day!

Carpe Diem! Seize the Day!!

  1. So sad to hear of such a young man dying. And to not know why is concerning. It sounds like the son will have support though.

It started off as a gorgeous spring day here, but then the wind picked up and the clouds blew in. But still very little rain and we do so need it.
