Almost Spring!

Well.... Last Saturday night it snowed again. Just enough for a covering, but about 2 inches I guess. Sunday morning, leaving for church, our lane was treacherous. The road was not much better. It was plowed on the other side!

Later in the week my hubby and I went for a drive down our road and found a road that we hadn't explored yet, something we love to do.  This is what we found....

Tapping the Maple Trees

I love these stone walls!

Wind turbines!

Our lane back to our house.

Now, four days later, Spring is trying to break through. Our lane is muddier and a lot of the snow you see in the last picture is gone. But it seems like our house which is the furthest house on the lane, is hanging on to our snow. But it is receding little by little!

This morning I took our daughter to work at 4:30 am. It was snowing and sleeting. We had snow flurries all day! Good grief! But... tomorrow is St. Patty's day. Spring is on the way!

I have been working on some crocheting. I am a knitter and have been for a very long time. My mother in law taught me to knit when my hubby and I first married. - When I was in the hospital in January my four year old.granddaughter A got hold of my knitting and pulled a lot out!!!  So I decided to try some crocheting for a change. I looked up some stitches and learned how to double crochet. This whole piece is dc. ( I did salvage my knitting too.)  Here is what I am working on. The green one is the pattern picture and the other is the back of the cardigan I am doing.  I have the left front done too.

I will post a picture of the finished sweater hopefully in a week! I am hoping to have it done by then!

Well it is very late. I have to be up in 6 hours for church. Hope you have a great day tomorrow.  Stay warm if you are up north and enjoy the sunshine if you are in the sunny, non snowy south!

  1. I wish I had the patience to learn how to knit. Your project looks like it’s coming along beautifully. Thank you for your visit and comment. I’ll be hoping for peace for our country.
