Mother's Day & Pastor's Conference

Mother's Day was very nice this year. I had the option of speaking in church (the sermon), but ended up not doing it. I have done it in the past but not recently. My hubby asked what I would like for mother's day. I told him that I wanted my new kitchen faucet installed (we bought it a while ago.) So the day before Mother's Day our handy man came to call and installed the new faucet! Yea! I love it!

The day before Mother's Day we had our son, his wife J and their daughter come over and join us for dinner and smores! The granddaughters had never had them! They loved them!

I love having the family all together, at least the local ones! (We were minus 3 kids and spouses) That in itself is a gift!

So... our latest adventure was to go to the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference for the United Methodist Church. -- That's a mouthful!-- It is held in Wildwood, NJ - at the shore.

Being at conference is something I really like. Our granddaughter A gets to go to childcare which is held in a large room with about 20 other "up to 5 year olds!" The woman in charge even remembered her name from last year! The children get to make crafts, play, have snacks and lunch and watch a few videos.
A told me that she got time out because she wouldn't take a nap at nap time. I asked her why she wouldn't take a rest (avoiding the N word! Nap!) She said "there was no music."
(She goes to bed with music, but now that she's 4, scheduled naps are more difficult.)

Here is a few more pictures of conference.

And another conference was over. We live in NEPA so next weekend we get to attend the Pennsylvania conference! It's a busy time of year!
