Summer-- The ups and downs

Hello. It's been a while. Summer has been upon us for quite a while now. I haven't been here to blog in quite a while too. I have been having a bit of a rough go of it. I have/had bursitis in my hip. I was finally able to get a shot of cortisone. That pretty much cleared that up. But my lower leg on the same side is cramping. It is especially bad first thing in the morning and sometimes when I go to bed. I have been using a cane in the morning. I can usually walk it out in about an hour then it starts to return around 3 or 4. Next Tuesday I have an appointment to have a test done to see how the nerves and muscles react. I have been told it's kind of like acupuncture. For joy, for joy!!!!!  Oh well. Could be worse I guess.

Our flowers and gardens are lovely this year. My husband is the main gardener. He enjoys being out there in the garden with his hands in the earth. My happy place is in the kitchen baking. I have just started back baking. My kitchen was being painted so I refrained during that time. Also, when it's so hot out, I also don't bake. My husband is not a fan of air conditioners, but when it gets really muggy and yuk --- the air goes on.

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday. I got him a new I Pad. He records his Sunday sermons (he's a pastor) and often has a hard time with his laptop. So hopefully this will work out much more nicely. (Is that proper English? ) He finally relented and said he'd like a pool- an above ground one. But now they are not in the stores. We have been trying to talk him into one for YEARS!  So, we are going to give him an IOU for a pool and tonight I am making a strawberry rhubarb pie, his favorite!!
