Oh no! Only 3 days (not counting today!) left! So much to do!! So many friends to see still! -- Yesterday in the heat and humidity, we packed a van that my husband and a friend from church took down to the new house this morning. A 3 1/2 hour drive, one way. That will make the load a little less for the movers on Monday.
Son # 2 and a friend also put the trailer hitch on the van (for the pop-up), and fixed the back door of the van (it's been jammed for months and wouldn't open), and also put some kind of filter in the front of the engine for the radiator- I think. They were all hot jobs out in the sun!
It was a long day yesterday, which included a quick visit to the chiropractor for me--- if I were thinking I would have scheduled it for when we are done- like on Monday morning- then I could have jumped in the car and headed south fresh from adjustment!! But... I wasn't thinking about that a week ago! So last night my back was aching and I was exhausted as were all our helpers.
These are son's # 2 and # 3 at the end of the day. We had just had pizza - it was a nice ending to the day.
Two more helpers. (The lighting for this picture came out weird because I used the flash.)
Today is cooler- supposed to be in the 80's most of the day. I have things to keep me busy all day so I will be blessed with the temperatures! -I am thankful for the blessings mixed in with the mess of moving!
Moving is such a BIG job and hot weather doesn't make it easier. It's wonderful that you have so much good help, though.
ReplyDeleteYes- I love seeing my older boys who aren't always near by. And their help is more than wonderful! My daughter and her boyfriend are good helpers too!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe day is almost here!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know. Just said good bye to a young friend of 9. It wasn't easy. But I will see her in about 4 or 5 weeks.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. Maybe sangria might be necessary.
ReplyDeleteSo, how's it going?
