Busy busy busy

We have been extremely busy this past week. Home school has started, practice for the chime choir at church has started~~ son J is in it, objecting to going, but learning how to do it and not objecting while there- I have been filling in for absent members and may end up playing in 2 weeks when they play in church~~ also the senior choir in church has started and I have chosen to sing in that. I also went to a scrap booking Bible study last Thursday night. It is a really great study, and then we get to start a scrap book. But.... alas I already feel I am doing too much. Monday night~ Boy Scouts, Tuesday night~ Chime Choir, Wednesday night~ Senior Choir, Thursday all day~ Homeschool co-op, and I am going to stop the Thursday night Bible Study after only one go of it. (I already have Bible Study on Mon. morning at 6:30 AM.)  I am doing too much already! I have to start saying no to people who are inviting me left and right to do things. So today I have to call and cancel my Thurs. Bible study membership.

Last Friday I went to the Women of Faith conference in Philadelphia. It was wonderful. I went with a friend and some friends of hers and we stayed the night at a Holiday Inn. Came home on Sat. evening.

There were 11,000 women there! We had great speakers including Sandi Patti, Anita Renfroe, Patsy Clairmont, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife- they also did a mini concert- and many other speakers. I really have a lot of respect for those women who can get up on stage and share from their heart things that they have endured with their families only by the Grace of God. It must have been hard to share in front of so many women, but oh what a wonder witness they were to our mighty creator!!

Back on the home front...... our son #2- Nick, left for Japan Wednesday at noon from New York City. He landed safely in Tokyo. The flight was 14 1/2 hours. He was there last year for two months working on an organic farm and traveling. He has since been studying Japanese, and has been corresponding with a friend he met there. Now he is going for 3 months, will meet with his friend and will travel some more, checking out some schools while he is there. He is an artistic glass blower. He has an artist's heart and an artist's eye. Both of which is adventurous and open to the beauty of nature. ~~

This is the kids before he left. Oh yes- and Katie too.

  1. Whew! Maybe a tad over scheduled...but then, you know what they say..."If you want something done, ask a busy woman."
