About the yard this 26th day of May

A few new happenings around here this week. Firstly, I went and got some meniscus surgery on my left knee on Monday. I am so glad to finally have that finished with! Now I am in recovery! Limping about a bit, but better everyday. We also have a new visitor at our house- supposedly temporarily. Her name is Shelby.

Shelby
She kind of looks like a Korgy but a little larger. I also see some markings of a shepherd, so I'd say she's a Heinz 57! Our other two dogs have mixed reactions to her- Cedie the older one is being an old crab, and Katie the younger (bigger) one loves having a new little sister around! Someone new to play with since Yuka went back to Maine with our son Nick.

Here are some pictures of our gardens and what not in the back yard, and a few in the front too.

The garden just outside the back yard with varied plants including herbs

This is the fish pond- a work in progress. My husband had it looking really good, then a leak sprung up and he ripped it all apart. He is trying to get it put back together now. Yesterday he found a snake and a frog in the pond!

The grapes are growing back
Katie the baby!
All the tall shoots in the back will be blooming tiger lilies in a few weeks!

Some blue berry bushes someone gave us! Look at all those berries!

Our petunias from the wedding (looks better in person!)

This is our weeping birch tree out front. We had some tulips here but they are done. We need something else in here!

Ah yes, and this is my morning cup of tea.
The way I like to start the day before the crew are up and at em!

  1. Now that was a relaxing tour around your yard. Now I feel the need for some afternoon tea.
