Catch up!

We took yesterday off from school and me from house work too, to go to our church's (the NJ Methodist church in large) annual conference. I usually go every year and vote on different issues and visit with old friends and what not, but this year with the bum knee - which is recovering nicely- I opted not to go. Son J was very disappointed - he has his regular friends to see, but he did see a couple yesterday while we were there with Dad.

He also got to swim in the hotel pool. Always a plus!

So today it is very sunny and the temps are supposed to be a bit lower. As I look around my house....yikes! I need to vacuum that nuisance dog hair, dust, clear off the dining room table that seems to catch everything, and finish up some school with son J too. Trying to get finished for the summer and do some testing.

Our grand puppy Yuka is back in Maine with our son N and his new wife M.

And Shelby, the dog we were dog sitting, has gone back with her masters. She was a nice dog. Didn't even bark at the ambulances and fire trucks that go by least 2 or 3 times a week! Or day! (We live in the direct path to the hospital!)

But do not fret for us! We have our two other monster dogs to keep us going nuts sometimes.....  (they bark at the ambulances!)

So...... I had better go do chores before 9. I have one hour. I do have sheets and a bedspread and a sleeping bag drying out on the line, so I have accomplished a little bit. But the vacuuming, watering the plants out front, dusting..... etc. etc. .... got to get going!

  1. It is true about a woman's work being never done. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to train dogs to dust?

  2. I do agree! Those pets are really free loaders! Nice summer project for my son! Teach the pets to do chores! Ha ha!
