Sunday, Sunday

Well- it's Sunday again. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but I have my plate full. As usual. The first service over at church has begun. Living right next to the church (in the parsonage) I can hear the muffled organ music play. I can see the late comers to the early service (8:30am) hurry in. Kind of like I am spying through my lace curtains right next door. ~ Today is confirmation Sunday. Getting son J up and dressed is always a challenge when he has to wear a white shirt and tie. Today is one of those days.

But before the 10 o'clock service when the confirmation is scheduled, I still have to go over to the church office and print a coloring page for my kindergarten Sunday School class. My black ink is used up and I can make copies over at the church office. Don't worry. In this case it is legitimate. I am not making copies where I shouldn't.

After Sunday School, which is directly after the 10 am service, we are supposed to go to a confirmation party at someone's house. I didn't plan one for our son J. He just had a birthday and we are still recovering from son N's wedding. Besides, J doesn't like a lot of fuss. Then later this evening we have a youth rally over at a local church campground to go to . Somewhere in there I have to make cookies to take to some friends tomorrow, and also find time for a half hour catch up nap, which I know I will need come about 2pm!

We finished up our season of soccer yesterday. J loves soccer. The kids have a great time with it and of course it's excellent exercise!

A little soccer action between friends

Next sport will be fall soccer. This last one was spring soccer. Then basketball comes in the winter.
Never a dull moment. ~ I do like it that way.  I just have the challenge of finding time for the necessaries of house work, Bible study and reading time. We also have to encourage daughter D to get out there and put some work applications out there. She wants to take some school courses at the local college in the fall, but for now she needs to be working.

And so proceeds the parade of our life. ~ Oh yes~ this Monday and Tuesday we are planning a trip back to our homestead to visit friends, and husband will be canoeing in preparation for the canoe camp he is doing this summer. It will be nice to visit old friends and our son A (who still lives up there and goes to college),  and site see at some local falls up there in NE, Pa. Really looking forward to those two days!
