Summer Days or Daze!

"Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. Those days of soda and pop corn and cheer. Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer! You'll wish that summer could always be here!" ~ I don't think I got all the words exactly right, but you remember that song! I remember we sang it for 6th grade graduation in Friends School. I wonder why we did that one?

I would love summer more if it weren't so hot and humid. Ah yes, the joys of Jersey summer! I really am going to sit down to day and make a list of summer activities to do with my last remaining kid (the rest are grown) and some that my dear husband would LOVE to do too! Ha Ha! ~ Next Tuesday I am going to Cape May with some lady friends from church to check out some places for our February retreat. That should be lots of fun! I am looking forward to that one!

I have lots of fond memories of summer fun as a kid and with our present family too.

This is just last month!  Pools of course are always great fun! Especially with the blown up shirt! There's always games of Marco Polo and Where Where! ~ Is that blown up shirt some kind of safety thing they teach in boy scouts?

And slip and slide fun with cousins! This is an oldie I came across! The lad in the green is my now 24 year old son! The others are a wee bit older now too!

And then there's the beach!

Getting Dad into the ocean is a chore, but once he's in there, he has a great time!

Ah yes!

This is one of my favorite photos! Light, darker, darkest! People at the shore!

And the rides on the pier!

The board walk!

And canoeing and kyacking, and camping, and ...... lots more. The more I list the more I realize that I do like summer a lot! Well---- I am going to go get my calendar and start setting dates! This year we have a recooperating older son with us with a mighty sore leg. So we will see what happens with all this.

But summer here we come! Ready, set, go!!
