The tree is up....
Presents are being wrapped.... still more shopping to do.

One sad note is that we had to put down our dear old Cedie. Mercedes was our 13 year old Rottie- Golden Retriever Mix. A dear old friend. She was failing severely and lost use of her hind legs. We were carrying her in and out of the house to do her business. Poor old girl. She will be sorely missed.

So we are proceeding into the big day! Our Cantata at church with it's many practices is done. (It was beautiful!) The Christmas Sunday School Party is done. Next is the Christmas Hayride Caroling tomorrow night around town, then the Christmas Eve Candlelight Services. In between all that our boys and families will start to trickle in. Actually, there are only two who aren't with us now. N up in Maine with his new family (our new grandson too!) and A who is up in NE Pennsylvania. He will be figuring out how to get down here with his girlfriend Christmas Eve.
We always have travelers from a far!
I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It is always hard to lose a beloved pet and Mercedes looked like a fine one.
