A Gray Wednesday in February

I am in a gray mood this morning. Bout as gray as the sky outside. If I believed that the gray sky would be delivering some of the white stuff today, then maybe I would be encouraged. But the weather man says rain/snow. Which means - no snow. I so miss the snow. I miss Christmas too. I guess it's the family that I miss. You know? At least in our house, all the kids are home and it's so nice to be with them all in one place at one time. Well......

Guess I am a little over tired today already! I got up earlier than usual to take my sweetie to men's Bible study which starts at 6am. He is still not driving yet. Doctor's orders. He's got one more week.

I also just read one of my favorite blogs "Mitch and Maggie" the airedales. The older one- Maggie- died the end of Jan. I feel bad for the remaining pup. Our poor Katie still misses our Cedie who passed on. The application for the Golden retriever/poodle we submitted, apparently wasn't accepted. Maybe the pup already was placed. Would be nice if they let you know.

So I guess I will wait till my hubby is feeling a bit better and then I will start visiting animal shelters to see who's there.

Well- maybe today is a cookie baking day. That would probably lift my spirits. Here is one of my birthday presents I got last month.

I have marachino (how ever you spell that) cherries to put on the cookies too. I could use that for a school project today and have my son double the recipe, thus doubling the fractions. ~~ Good idea.
