Snowflakes and Knee Problems!

It's snowing outside my window. Little tiny flakes. It's so pretty out there. It snowed the other day too and by the afternoon it was mostly gone. I do love the winter, although I realize I am not the one who has to salt the roads or drive to work everyday. I feel for those people.

I have been trying to do chores today while doing some running we had to do too. Basketball season has started. We had our 3rd game today. My son J is the athlete in the house currently. The first game he really won for the team. He made many shots and got lots of layups. The 2nd game they lost. Not too many good connections in the game. The 3rd game, today was 32 - 32. Tied. It was a good game though. I love cheering them on. It's lots of fun.

On another front.. I have been having knee problems again. This time it's my right knee which is my good knee. It has been hurting pretty bad since I was in Haiti. I figured I was just favoring it more than the other one. Turns out I have a torn meniscus. I have to have surgery in about a week or two. I will be glad to get it taken care of. Meanwhile, my husband D has also been having some knee pain. He went to the doctor too. The doctor told him that he could get some shots and baby his knee along (what I have been doing with my left knee) but he really needs a knee replacement. It's not going to cure itself. So he is going to have that after I recoop form my surgery. I told the remaining two adult kids in our house that they better be careful. We have 6 people living in our house and 4 out of the 6 of us have had surgery to our knees and legs in the last 2  years! It must be in the water!! Ha Ha!

Ever since we got home from Haiti, our house has seemed really big. Bigger than we need. I keep thinking of the tiny little places they live in in Haiti. I have been cleaning out extra clothes in our closets and drawers and have plans for some cabinets in the kitchen too. Happily, the church is having a yard sale in 2 weeks so I can send some stuff over there to get rid of. I have some bags stacking up in our parlor already.

Here are some more of our Haiti pictures. The people will always remain dear to my heart.

Till the next time... Bon Nuit.
Good night.
