Well yes, it is another Saturday night.-- Remember that song? "Another Saturday night and I aint got nobody, I have some money cause I just got paid. How I wish I had someone to talk to, I'm in an awful way!" Remember that one? Ha Ha. I'm not that bad off. That song just came to mind!
I did get to talk to a girlfriend on the phone for a while tonight. She lives up in our old town up north. It was good to hear her voice. My son J loves her spaghetti and she was making it tonight and said she thought of us. -- We have had a busy day today. This morning we made subs to sell for a fundraiser at church. It was to support the hangar-- our church's youth center. About 6 of us gathered and made a little over 100 subs. We have been doing this for a while and have the system down pretty well. We ran out of tomatoes (as usual!) so someone had to run and get more to finish up the orders, but it's always fun working together and joking around while making the subs. Pretty good ones if I say so myself!!--
Later we went with a woman from church to help her pick up some exercise equipment she had bought on Craig's List. We took our suburban so we had room to put it in the back. We ended up going 25 miles to this town, and my hubby said he knew where the address was so he didn't need her GPS. (He doesn't like GPS's!) So.... an hour and a half later.... I hadn't heard her offer the GPS before and I suddenly saw it and insisted we use it. It took us right to the spot. It was a small exercise place with lots of equipment inside. We drove around back not knowing what to expect. --
They opened the back door and we saw what we had come for. It was some kind of stepper machine! It was HUGE! And looked really heavy! Much more than we could handle! So three men from the place plus my husband, with his new knee, lifted it in the back of the suburban backwards with the handles sticking out the back doors. We had to then drive to a hardware store to buy some rope to tie the doors closed. All the way home I sat half backwards to watch that it didn't inch its way out the back. Actually, it was too heavy to budge, except when we turned corners it kept almost tipping over!
We made it home- myself and our friend both smelled like exhaust from the back doors being open, not to mention we were half frozen from the 31 degree air outside! Now the stepper is still in our suburban until tomorrow after church when hopefully we will find some volunteers to help put it in our friend's garage and out of our vehicle. My husband covered it with a tarp in case it rains or something tonight.
So... tonight I have been doing laundry, washing the kitchen floor and other little what not jobs.
It's time to do a few other little things then get to bed. It will be another busy day tomorrow.
Here's a few things from my facebook page that friends have posted. Enjoy!
You remind me of a man.
What man?
The man with the power.
What power?
The power of "whodoo"
Whodoo?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of a man.
