It's been a very busy week between taking a friend to physical therapy and home two different days, doing a huge grocery shopping, laundry (there's always that!), going out to lunch with a friend, on my husband's day off I went to Barnes and Nobles for the morning with him and discovered that one of my favorite authors wrote a new book!, and so on and so on. Today was our town's yardsale day. We had one. Not a huge one, but we had one. Now I have to load all the extras, well most of the extras, into my trunk to take to Salvation Army on Monday. One woman came who was shopping for the homeless in a nearby (small) city.
I happily donated what ever she wanted. I did sell some odds and ends plus a big cushy chair I wanted to get rid of. It was a recliner that wouldn't recline! All together I made $28 dollars and spent $25!
My hubby went to a yard sale and came home and said that if I wanted to get something for father's day..... there was this super comfortable chair. So...I sent the kids over for it.
It looks pretty simple and not like anything else in the room, but what the heck! He really thinks its great. Now he can sit in comfort and watch his Mexican Soccer games!! It cracks me up! He loves those games even though they are all in Spanish and he can't understand them! Oh well, soccer is soccer!
Happy Father's day to all the Dad's out there!
