Baseball season is here. Last Saturday was our youngest son's first scrimage of the season. He finally got to pitch! For all the years he has played baseball- that's about ten years- he has never pitched! Today I over heard the coach and another parent discussing how they needed someone else to pitch. They wanted two pitchers to trade off. I interjected that they should try my son J. He can pitch. - So they did try him. He was great if I say so myself!
I love the poses that pitchers strike while they are concentrating on their pitch. - I do also have to admit that he needs to practice his hitting. I guess I will take him to the batting cage before the next game so he can practice his batting.
Since I last posted I took our baby grand daughter to the doctor. She has a terrible cold and the doctor said she was wheezing, so we got a nebulizer and albuteral to go with it. She had to take the albuteral with the nebulizer. The nebulizer makes the medicine go into a form of mist and the baby (or who ever) breaths it in. It gets into their lungs that way. She had to take the medicine every four hours! That meant that my hubby and I took turns getting up with her.
I felt so bad for my dear husband the other night when he was feeding and doing meds on Wednesday. He did the 3am shift, but I was awake listening in bed. I went in to help him after a few minutes. He had started the nebulizer and had her on his lap. She woke up and began to cry. He stopped the nebulizer and gave her her bottle. She finished that, he started the nebulizer again, and she spit up most of the bottle. All over him and herself. He was in the process of changing her outfit when I went in to assist. So I gave her the rest of her nebulizer and she didn't want to go to sleep!
I rocked her after a little while. She then fell asleep.
So she has been sounding better. Friday was her recheck. The doctor said if there were any concerns just to call her.~
We have been doing quite a lot to be foster parents again. We finished our training, our homestudy is finished too.
So alas, I am extremely tired. I am going up to bed. Everyone have a good night or morning, as the case may be.
Be blessed and be a blessing.
I have the utmost admiration for grandparents taking on the care of grandchildren. It cannot be easy. But she is such a beautiful little angel.
