Enjoying the Great Outdoors!

 It's been an off and on rainy day today. Everything is so green and beautiful all around. I could not live in a city and miss all this beauty from the hands of God. ~ I have a son who lives in Philadelphia and he is happy there~ not me. 

I did the Bella walk with my husband a little while ago. He is waiting for his knee replacement to happen. Walking the almost quarter mile drive with the dog is sometimes a challenge for him. We walk Bella because she is the runner of our two dogs. She loves her walk on the leash and we love not having to round her up after she has run away... again. 

This week I have spent two days canning strawberries. I made strawberry jam and strawberry pineapple jam. To tell you the truth, the pineapple in the second one tastes just like strawberries. Oh well. I tried. Next on my agenda is more strawberry jam and then mint jelly. We have so much mint in the yard. 

My husband has worked hard in the garden and little by little it has grown into a wonderous place. We can sit on our deck and look down on it. Last summer he put deer fence around the yard. This year the deer are not eating all the flowers and other plants. 

I took a little walk in our woods and found some pretty little wild flowers. There are lots of ferns and moss and everything green with flowers scattered about here and there.

     

                                          
                                          

I had planned to work on refinishing a small set of drawers I sanded down. I am going to put them in my bedroom. I will show you pictures next time. Enjoy your day!
