Thanksgiving this year

Thanksgiving is over. We so looked forward to it, worked hard getting ready for it, and now it's done.
We had 18 people here for Thanksgiving. First was our daughter who came home from our old neighborhood 170 miles up north where she was trying to settle. Didn't quite work out, so she came home. She brought her friend A and they are both looking for work now.

That was a week before Thanksgiving.
Next was Rob and his wife Debbie, and their two little boys. Debbie (and daughter D too) was such a great help to me in preparing the Thanksgiving feast. Then the next day came Mario (Rob's dad and our old friend), and our friends from our old town- Donna & Bill, and their 3 boys. Oh yes, I forgot our son Dave who came Wednesday night from Phillie.

Not a girl to be found in the midst of them!
At 11 AM our son A, also up in our old neighborhood, discovered he and his girlfriend had no transportation down here. Their plans had fallen through. They were too late for the bus and kind of stranded. So... dear old Dad came to the rescue and drove all the way up to get them. 170 miles up and 170 back down again!
(They caught the bus back the next day!)
So- Dad and son A and his girlfriend got back late, but we all shared a Thanksgiving feast. It was great family and friend time.

Thanksgiving Menu

Roast Turkey with stuffing

Spiral sliced Ham with glaze

And that was our Thanksgiving feast. Lots of prep and lots of fun, and tired cooks at the end, but all well worth it.
