Christmas is coming...the goose is growing fat!

It's been a while since I last posted. I must admit it. I am a busy person with lots happening round here most of the time. I enjoy my down time when I have it. ~~ There are only 5 days till Christmas. I have been trying to shop then wrap and still keep organized. I have a spiral notebook which contains my lists of people I need to shop for and what I got them.

I have baked some cookies- about 3 different times. Do you think I have any to show for it? NO! My kids have eaten them! So tonight I plan to bake some more and hide them! I really do need some for gifts and to have in the house for Christmas too. ~ We got the tree up and decorated. Not as much fun as it used to be because 3 out of the 4 kids I have home were working while I decorated. The youngest (14) was too busy to help too. So I just did it myself and Elvis helped by singing the carols for me from my Ipad! My husband wandered in and put the angel up top. He did the lights the night before. My oldest son D came in after work and put a few things up high for me. My youngest son came down, but I think his motivation was to stay up later than I let him on a school night! ~ I didn't go up to bed till midnight to find my dear husband snoring away!

I love decorating the tree and putting on ornaments that the kids have made a long time ago. It's so much fun!
So I will hold off taking pictures of our decorated house until it's all done. I still have a few boxes around in the livingroom.

We went caroling last night with a bunch from church. Mostly kids. I think there were about 50 of us!  We had two hay wagons. I got to sit with one of our wee little girls from Sunday School.  After we got back we went into the fellowship hall for hot cocoa and cookies.

So.... Christmas is coming, the geese are growing fat- especially the snow geese we see around the place .... I will post more after the cookies are made!

(I have a star of David to put on the porch roof as soon as the lights get put around it!)
